It is expected that there will be activity after the tenth hour, given that today is an official holiday.
The opening of the polling stations was followed by observers from the Civil Elections Monitoring Committee deployed in 150 polling centers, in 120 locations. The observers were present at the moment of opening, and cooperation was recorded from the employees of the Central Elections Commission in the centers, with the exception of one center in Tuqu who refused the entry of the observer. After the intervention of the main office of the committee, the error was corrected and entry was entered. Observer: In some polling stations, the center managers refused to give the observers information regarding the number of ballot papers received at the station, such as Odla and Aqaba. In Odla School, two security men entered the polling station with their weapons and were not stopped by the polling station staff. Also, a polling station in Beit Kahil witnessed voters entering with their mobile phones and trying to photograph the ballot paper. The polling stations at Al-Istiqlal Basic School in Beit Kahil do not take voters' phones.
The electoral propaganda process in front of most polling stations is still ongoing, and the Civil Committee recommends that the Central Elections Commission, in cooperation with security, take action to prevent it in order to limit any friction that may result between the competing lists. Also, with the expectation that the percentage of voters will increase in the coming hours, the Civil Committee recommends that polling station crews be strict with regard to the health protocol for voters and polling station crews.
